Dr. Ingrid Pretzer-Aboff, Ph.D., RN, FGSA, FAAN, is a gerontological nurse scientist and international leader in gait and balance research for older adults. As Senior Scientific Advisor, Balance Health™ at Kinis.ai, she guides the development of validation protocols, clinical adoption strategies, and scientific publications to ensure Balance HealthTM sets the standard in fall prevention and mobility health.

Dr. Aboff’s career spans decades of research and clinical leadership in neurological disorders, gerontology, and mobility health. She is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America (FGSA) and the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN), honors that reflect her lifetime contributions to advancing care for older adults. She also serves on the board of the National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence and is an active member of the Movement Disorder Society, American Geriatrics Society, Sigma Theta Tau, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Virginia Nurses Association.

She works closely with the Parkinson’s disease community, sharing her research with students, healthcare professionals, and support groups. Her ability to translate complex scientific insights into practical clinical solutions bridges research and patient care, making her a valuable voice in the global conversation on aging and mobility.

Dr. Aboff currently co-directs the VCU Graduate Healthcare Innovation Certificate, where she mentors the next generation of healthcare leaders at the intersection of innovation, clinical practice, and patient impact.
