Bethany Russell is a physical therapist, educator, and gait rehabilitation specialist with a passion for restoring movement and advancing the field through technology and education. At Kinis.ai, she contributes to the development of clinically grounded, evidence-based education and digital solutions that empower those seeking better balance health and the professionals who serve them.
Bethany earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University and her undergraduate degree in Biology from Bridgewater College. Her clinical practice spans inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, combining expertise in restoring balance, walking, and running after neurologic or orthopedic injury with proactive, technology-informed strategies to preserve mobility across the lifespan. By integrating preventative care and advanced foot and ankle interventions, she helps people of all ages move with greater confidence, independence, and resilience.
In addition to her work at Kinis.ai, Bethany teaches annually in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at VCU. She also leads the creation of continuing education programs in gait rehabilitation, serving as the primary author and editor for an evidence-based specialist certification course. She is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences, where she shares insights on translating balance and gait research into clinical practice.
